This Stata do-file processes data from the Second Malawi Integrated Household Survey (IHS2) conducted in 2004/2005, involving 11,280 households. It generates 1,572 variables and covariates consisting of consumption aggregates across categories like food, non-food items, housing, utilities, health, education, and agriculture using Classification of Individual Consumption According to Purpose (COICOP). The do-file calculates poverty lines using the Paasche Price Index and Adult Equivalence Factor, identifying poor and ultra-poor households. It also evaluates average and median calorie intake per household. The analysis supports poverty and inequality metrics via DASP tools, including data management, merging datasets, calculating real expenditure aggregates, and creating distribution graphs.
