This Stata do-file processes data from the Fourth Malawi Integrated Household Survey (IHS4) conducted in 2016/2017, involving 12,447 households. It generates 2,635 variables and covariates consisting of consumption aggregates across categories like food, non-food items, housing, utilities, health, education, agriculture, and fisheries using COICOP coding. The do-file calculates poverty lines using the Paasche Price Index and Adult Equivalence Factor, identifying poor and ultra-poor households. It also evaluates average and median calorie intake per household. The analysis supports poverty and inequality metrics via DASP tools, including data management, merging datasets, calculating real expenditure aggregates, and creating distribution graphs.
